ASPDA Membership Auto-Renewal FAQ

American Sports and Performance Dietitians Association (ASPDA) offers an auto-renew option for Allied Healthcare and Sports RD members. Signing up for auto-renew ensures continuous access to your member benefits, such as webinars, professional resources, and member discounts. ASPDA reserves the right to discontinue the auto-renew plan or to modify its rules at any time. Members will be notified of these changes in advance.

When and how will I be charged?
Members enrolled in the auto-renew program will be charged the full amount of their membership dues on their membership expiration date. The same card used to initially enroll will be charged. You will receive an email receipt to confirm payment and your renewal status. ASPDA follows PCI compliance rules.

Will I be notified before auto-renew happens?
ASPDA members participating in the auto-renew program will be sent a renewal email notification to the primary email address associated with their membership account approximately 30 days prior to their credit card being charged. Directions on how to check your auto-renew will be provided in the email.

Members are responsible for maintaining a current email address that is capable of receiving ASPDA emails. The inability to receive ASPDA emails will not be grounds for a refund.

Will my dues amount change?
ASPDA reserves the right to change membership dues rates at any time. You will be notified of dues rates and any due rate changes in email notices.

Where do I make changes or updates?
Members can edit their auto-renewal during their renewal period, which ends 30 days before their membership expiration date. Watch our video on how to edit your auto-renew setup.

If you are enrolling in auto-renew with a credit card that belongs to your company, you agree that you are an authorized user of said credit card. If you become unauthorized to use the card, you are responsible for removing the credit card information from ASPDA and replacing it with a different payment method.

Members wanting to cancel their auto-renew outside of their renewal period should contact Michele Nichols, ASPDA Member Service Manager, at [email protected] or (812) 369-4393.

What if my card is no longer valid?
If a member’s card is declined, the member will be notified by email. Your membership will not be renewed until a new payment is received. There is a 90-day grace period before your membership lapses and your member benefits stop.

I forgot to remove my membership from auto-renew, but I didn’t intend to renew it. Can I get a refund?
If you were charged for renewal but didn’t intend to renew, please remember that your membership was set to auto-renew based on the terms you agreed to when you joined or renewed. ASPDA memberships are non-refundable.
